Known as a Liverpool BE RT Ported Pivot from Bombers Bits, it is typically known in the US as a Conrad or a Square Port mouthpiece. Boyd Exell uses the square port to encourage straightness in the horse. The split mouthpiece has a break in the middle to allow the sides to work independently, so the horse can't avoid taking contact.

Boyd Exell recommends this to allow the horse to be rounder and take more contact.

Similar to the Ported Barrel, the Pivot Ported will take pressure off the tongue however, the contact is more stable due to less movement in the mouth piece. The best of the Happy Tongue and the Ported Barrel. The Pivot Ported allows for independent lateral aids while maintaining the profile of the mouthpiece in the mouth.

The BE Liverpool RT applies both poll pressure and leverage to the mouthpiece. The lower the rein is attached the stronger the leverage and poll pressure will be. Cheek pressure provides additional emphasis to the lateral aids.
